I never owned a boat before this but I had enjoyed a holiday with my family on a river cruiser on the Thames, it was great and I decided one day I would buy a boat, after a lot of searching I found a boat that just looked great, I loved the lines and the shape.
I sailed the boat for a year and at the end of the season 2006 I decided to give the boat a face lift. It started out with just freshening up the hull with a lick of paint but that turned into a full blown refit. I took out the orbital sander and got to work. After a paint job I replaced the fendering around the boat and fixed new fairleads and cleats. The Cabin and the cockpit were next. I decided to deck these out in carpet as the canopy would protect it in bad weather, after building 2 new units in the cabin and gave the boat a coat of antifoul she was ready to be put back into water. The boat is Moored on Lough Erne in beautiful Enniskillen, Northern Ireland at Lough Erne Yacht Club. Here are a few picks of before and after. Enjoy!!
